Every Step You Take

When I first watched this drama, I gave up on after two episodes and re-watched The Heirs instead.

The second time, I watched it again, I found a new perspective to this drama.

The first time I watched it, I got two things out of it, no one likes Moses and that Jonathan will cheat on Myolie.

The second time I watched it, I also have the same thoughts this time but found that beside that aspect, it is about Moses finding himself.

Moses is a typical 40 year old man who focus his time on work and spending time with his Serious mother. He used people to helped him achieve what he needed. He has changed since three years ago when he got promoted to Creative Director. He did not care about anyone but work. He lost himself through that three years, in that three years the people who used to worship him, loath him. The people around him slowly decreases.
It was not until Elaine told him that no one likes him, what he does is wrong, and because of him, she hates her job. He used to be someone she looked up to but not anymore.

Afterwards, Moses took a 108 days of leave from work to reconnect himself again. He wants to find his passion in his creative work. One of Moses work is, 'Love is eternal, nothing's impossible,' and in one of his ads, is about an angel that gave up his eternity to be with the girl he loves, he gave it up to see the girl smile. Because smile is eternal. Yet, Moses could not find his love.

He met Myolie and To Junior. They both helped each other through Myolie's break up with Jonathan because like she said, 'A blind heart is worse than being blind,' she knew that Jonathan chose to be with her because of responsibility but his heart is not with her. So she let him go.
Myolie helped Moses patch his broken brotherhood relationship with Evergreen by encouraging him to make the first move to text Evergreen.

Moses and Myolie slowly grew fond of each other and they were there for each other. They have a connection with each other three years ago through his ads. That is fate.

Side note, Owen and Cila's love story seem a little unrealistic to me. Really?! He loves her because she always back him. I don't know, and then travel to Japan spontaneously with no luggage, how do you survive?

Anyways, like Moses and Myolie always say in the drama, Keep going, keep fighting and keep smiling!

Refresh Man Taiwanese drama

Starring:
Aaron Yan as Ji Wen Kai
Joanne Tseng as Yong Zu Tang
Jack Li as Wang Zi
Lene Lai as Ai Sha

Storyline
Ji Wen Kai and Zu Tang are best friends in high school but a misunderstanding cause them to seperate for ten years. Ten years later, Wen Kai return to Zu Tang workplace, Muse and is her CEO. He helped her to became a better person by sending her to work in Team 3 sales team. Team 3 have talented people that are just unmotivated at work until Wen Kai assign them to sell Mei Mei, a classic soap at Muse cosmetics. After many obstacles, Zu Tang realised that Wen Kai is helping her throughout her struggles and they resolved their misunderstanding and realised that they have fallen for each other. They dated. What is different about Refresh Man is that it doesn't focus on romance alone, it focus on business world too. Wang Zi likes Zu Tang and confessed to her but she turned him down nicely, furious that he lost Zu Tang and his business with Wen Kai, Wang Zi plot a plan to overturn Wen Kai in front of all the businessmen. Ai Sha, Wen Kai's loyal secretary turns her back on Wen Kai and sided with Wang Zi because she too, was rejected by Wen Kai. To find out what happen,  please give this drama a go.

Aaron Yan
I have seen a number of his dramas, Just You, Fall In Love With Me, A Time Of Love- Japan and now, Refresh Man. I can proudly say that Aaron's acting have improved so much. Every details in his face expressions, gestures and tone allows the audience to see the character and not as Aaron is acting blah blah blah. It's Wen Kai not Aaron Yan. His acting got me so caught up in the drama. He have improved so much since Fall In Love With Me. Personally, I like Refresh Man over his other drama, because the storyline itself was amazing throughout and it wasn't typical halfway like Fall In Love With Me.

Joanne Tseng
First time watching a drama with her and I have to say her acting is superb. The emotional scenes were really well acted. I could felt what was going on in her life. She has great chemistry with Aaron and played Zu Tang really well!

This drama is highly recommended! Gonna missed seeing Wen Kai and Zu Tang on screen but I know wherever they are, they are happy.

The Last Healer in the Forbidden City episodes 1-7

The difference about this drama is that it has a huge budget which means they have better scenery. The story line itself is so-so.
Tavia and Roger was so closed to get married until on the wedding day, she was caught trying to escape with a man. Roger cut ties with her and instead of letting her died using the bamboo thingy, yes, I don't know what it is called, he choose to let her go.

Years later, she return to her hometown and found that the clinic that once belong to her family has been preoccupy by her Senior. He made it into a casino, and demand Tavia to show him the lease. Tavia try to get on JJ Jia good side, so she can sneak inside Roger's study room and steal the lease. JJ Jia is Roger's wife. Roger gave Tavia the lease.

Tavia wants to work in the palace to find out who the informant is.

So far, this drama is so-so. Well, we just have to see what else happens.

Bromance (Taiwanese Drama)

Starring:
Megan Lai as Pi Yanuo
Baren Chen as Du Zifeng
Bii as Wei Qing Yang
Sean Lee as Chu Zherui
Katie Chen as Yang NaNa
Mandy Tao as Du Zihan
Johnny Yang as Liao Gang Chao

What I like about this drama?
Um.. the story line is different because Pi Yanuo who is actually a girl have to live her life as boy for 25 years. Because a fortune teller told her parents that she will not survived if she live as a girl, and only on her 26th birthday, can she be a girl again.

Pi Yanuo and Du Zifeng
Met by fate, destined to be together. Yanuo save Zifeng from drowning when he was little. That is fate. They met again when Zifeng was endanger by the mafia who have his people fight against Zifeng. Anyways, I won't get into detail about this couple, just know that there are a cute scenes between these two. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. I ship them hehehehe

Wei Qing Yang and Yang NaNa
The relationship between them is pure and innocent. It was his coffee that bought them together, his coffee reminds her of her deceased mother, and they develop a bond.

All I could say is that this drama is worth a watch. It is so different from the same old same old drama.
Du Zifeng is the leader of the three families who are in a triad. He is caring, loving, protective and affectionate. Pi Yanou is thoughtful, considerate, kind and warm. Qing Yang is quite, reserve, caring and protective. NaNa is out-going. The two couples alone made the drama so interesting to watch.

But be warn, once you start, you won't be able to stop watching at one episode.

Love the OST

There's something about this duet that speak about the relationship between Zifeng and Yanuo so well. Love the harmony of the two artist. Gosh, this song is on repeat.

Credit of the vid should go to the rightful owner
Bii, can I just say he is my bias? He is half- Taiwanese and Korean.
I like the song coz it fits with Nana and Qing Wei's relationship.

Credit of the vid should go to the rightful owner
Okay, in all of the OST, the opening is my absolute fav!
The song itself makes you feel so happy and puts a smile on your face. Not to mention, the voices of the four singers works out so well. Gosh, on repeat.

The reason why I didn't write in detail about this drama is because it is hard to write about it, you have to give this drama a go. One episode at least.

NEW BANNER!

I have have my previous KENTA banner made by Eva for a while now and felt that it is time to changed it.

At first I was going to have pictures for the new banner but I felt like maybe I should tried something new. Something out of the norm for Let's Talk TVB.

The quote is not something I translated, I found it on the net, so credit goes to the one who translated it.

I simply made the banner to make it pretty. There were quite a few TVB quotes that I stumbled across but found this one more meaningful and inspiring. I wanted to have this quote as my banner to remind people who are still here, or simply just discovered my blog through another blog or search tab, to know that if they are facing any hardship, know that you can overcome it. Like the quote said, making a mistakes can be a blessing in disguise because you are learning a valuable lesson from it.

Happy 4th Birthday to Let's Talk TVB!!!

On 29th of March marks this blog 4th anniversary. Felt like yesturday that I posted this for its 3rd birthday. Kind of feel surreal to have a blog for four years.

It's ashame that I'm not that committed to TVB dramas anymore. When I first started this blog, I wanted to talked about my thoughts on the drama because there was so much to say. I missed the old days with Myolie, Tavia, Charmaine, Ron, Raymond, Bosco and Kenneth. The old TVB actors and actresses.

Should I still continue this blog with TVB related, or should it just be a blog for whatever comes to mind? Lemme know what you guys think.

As always thanks for the support! :)

TVB TOP ACTRESSES WEDDING 2016

Myolie Wu and Phillip Lee
They have their wedding last year and traveled to 12 countries for their honeymoon!
I am so happy for Myolie. You can tell how happy she is by her IG updates. These two are too cute! I wish them both eternal happiness!

Linda Chung and Jeremy Leung
Have to make a confession, Linda's marriage was a total shocked to me. Did not see it coming.
I'm so happy for her, she found her Mr Right. I read somewhere that she knew he was her Mr Right by day 4. Its just meant to be for these two. God bless your marriage life.

Tavia Yeung and Him Law
We all know that they have dated since 2012, so I wasn't that surprised that they tie the knot in England. I'm extremely happy for them! They have Tavia's mother and Him's father to witness their marriage. They married in a castle which is like a fairytale.

This year, most TVB top actresses have found their Mr Right and I could not express how happy i am for them! I wish your marriage life to be fill with happiness and love!

Destined To Love You (Chinese Drama)

To be honest, the male casts draws me to the drama and I miss watching Bosco in dramas.

Joe Chen as Qian Bao Bao/ Xian Hao
Bosco Wong as Shen Wen Tao
Jia Nai Ling as Xiang Hao

Episodes: 41 (I was a bit hesitate with the number of episodes, but it is worth it)

Spoilers are in this review, if you plan to watch it. Stop reading here, you have been warn. :P

Where do I start?
The cast looks promising which is the main reason why I decided to give this drama a go, because the synopsis to me is quite typical. In order to save her sick mother, Qian Bao Bao stole the identity of Xian Hao, a psychology instructor for Long Cheng Military Academy.  Along the way she meets Xiang Hao and the two did not get along well at all. While Wen Tao is her only friend at the academy who protects her, and always help her. Thus, a love triangle.

What I like about this drama?
Xiang Hao. Honestly, I didn't expect to like Xiang Hao at all. He's a prankster. No joke. He always prank Bao Bao because like Bao Bao describes it, "Cat and Mouse relationship." Every scenes of him and Bao Bao makes me laugh so hard. He is a child at heart. The cute thing is when they were at the ball, and he wants to dance with Bao Bao but Wen Tao ask her first. The result, Wen Tao and Xiang Hao dance together. Xiang Hao confess to her that he likes her and that would have to be the cutest scene yet. When he found out the truth that Bao Bao isn't Xian Hao, his fiancee, he still loves her. He did not care about her identity. And these two have been through so much together.

Shen Wen Tao. I knew right from the beginning that Bao Bao would not choose him. It's not because he is a bad person, no he is opposite of that. He is gentle, smart, serious and understanding. He found out that Bao Bao is not Xian Hao long ago and did not expose it, instead he protects her. Every time Bao Bao is sad, he is always there to comfort her, he is always helping her in whatever situation she is in. He loves her. Both of them adopt Xiao Yu, a puppy. Even though he knows that Bao Bao doesn't like him, he is still always there for her.

Bao Bao. The moment she choose to return to the academy for Xiang Hao, she knew that her life is always on the edge of death. Because stolen identity is a major crime. But with her best friend, Wen Tao and her lover, Xiang Hao, and the friends that she made at the academy, she have the courage to face whatever challenges that is against it. When the real Xian Hao return to the academy, there were a time when Xiang Hao were force to marry Xian Hao to save Bao Bao from death sentence. Of course, throughout the challenges, Xian Hao realise that loving Xiang Hao for ten years is a mistakes. And that her real lover is, Ouyang Fei, the boy that save her from drowning when she was 5 years old.

Xiang Hao and Shen Wen Tao- Bromance. Both were competitors for Jiyad Captain position. Xiang Hao did not like Wen Tao because of a misunderstanding, whereas Wen Tao have always see Xiang Hao as his brother. Throughout the drama, Xiang Hao and Wen Tao mend their broken brotherhood and they were "Brotherhood for life and the next lifetime."

Gu Xiao Bai. Du Feng. Gao Mei Ren. Han Xu. These four guys are so loyal to Xiang Hao and Wen Tao. I am a bit bias coz out of the four I like Gu Xiao Bai played by Zhang Yun Long.

Dean Xie and Dr Su. These two are wayyy too cute and hilarious too!

Xian Hao and Ouyang Fei. I am so happy that they were together. These two are just too cute. I knew there were something special when Ouyang Fei save her the second time (the first time when she was 5 years old) from the river which she fell off from the train.

What I don't like about this drama?
THE ENDING! Did I just went through all 41 episodes of this drama just to have this ending. No. I did not. I was expecting a happy ending in which Xiang Hao and Bao Bao are happily together and Shen Wen Tao with them. I just want a happy ending. How hard can it be to fulfill my wish?

Shen Wen Tao I'm in tears watching it. I was hoping that when you used yourself as human shield against Li Ji Zou that perhaps, Bao Bao escape and shot those bullets from behind to kill Li Ji Zou (Main Villain btw) but nope. It is not the case. Wen Tao shot himself and the bullets shot Li Ji Zou too. Wen Tao sacrifice himself. I could not believe that Wen Tao died. I mean, I was a bit suspicious that either Wen Tao or Ouyang Fei would died. It's an instinct that I have. Still, Wen Tao's death is too much for me. And if Wen Tao's death is not the worse, the academy thought that Bao Bao died while they were in a mission to destroy the weapons from the enemy sides.

Wen Tao and the other soldiers that sacrifice themselves for the country were reward with a medal and with respect.

Xiang Hao believes that Bao Bao is still alive. So he left the academy. On the train, where it have all begin when he first met Bao Bao, he met her again. Bao Bao were on the train that he is on, but the stupid and saddest thing that could possibly happen is, Bao Bao have amnesia. Yeah, so she doesn't remember who Xiang Hao is. Heart broken that the love of his life doesn't remembered him, he decides to tell her the stories of him and her while on the train.

Xiang Hao. He has the worse ending. He lost his best friend, a brother for life in the mission, and now his lover does not remember him. Why did all three main characters have a sad ending? One is dead. One have amnesia. One is left with all the memory. What is the meaning of this? Why?

Nonetheless, this drama is worth a watch.
